Marantz DV12-S2 - Anyone have a detailed opinion?

Are there any users of this unit out there - I would appreciate a little feedback on the CD, SACD and DVD-A sound quality (particularly CD). I know it has difficulty reading non 100% perfect CD's. Are there any software upgrades ?
