Manley Chinook MK ll vs Chinook

Ask Manley. One difference, I think, is that the later version affords 65db max gain; whereas the original develops 60db.

There is an additional MM & MC gain setting, Gold Lion Tubes and the  the faceplate is smaller without the rack mount holes.

I'd look for a used 1st generation which are going for well under $2K, if you're going to use carts higher than .5mv.
