Lower end DVD player

My DVD player just died and I am looking to replace it. I do not want to spend too much $$$ right now, but I would like DVD-A and SACD support along with p-scan and possibly up-conversion to 1080i. I have an older RP HDTV (Toshiba 56H80) that only has component inputs. I was looking at the Onkyo DV-SP502, but really can not find any reviews on it. I did stumble on another post here that recommended the Oppo DV-970HD, but most reviews seem to be using HDMI. Can anyone recommend a decent DVD player for only a few hundred dollars? Thanks!

I have an Oppo 970HD connected by component to a Panasonic RP HDTV with excellent results. I had the system calibrated by an ISF technician and I think the results are excellent, and only for $150. I am waiting for the formats to stabilize and for my TV to die before moving up. Both events are likely to happen after hell freezes over!
In the end it will mostly be dependent on your display. Secrets online mag uses objective endpoints for ratings and you can compare their analysis. It still depends on your display. With the Oppo you can send it back if you don't like it. Other than shipping cost, no risk.
