Looking to get started

Hi All -

I've been itching to get started in Analog for a while now so I'm reaching out for advice.

I have an audiophile theater system now and wonder if I can integrate an analog player into the system and truly benefit from the addition.

I have a CARY Cinema 6 pre/pro and Rotel 1090 5 channel amp. Speakers are the new NHT Classic 3s. I'm pretty sure I need a phono pre-amp. (?)

What are some thoughts?

Pete, a general idea of your budget would be helpful...

After that, where are you going to place the turntable? Do you want an automatic turntable, semi-automatic, or manual? Who is going to use the turntable?

There are thousands and thousands of turntable, cartridge, phono pre combinations out there, you need to narrow down the field a bit...
