locking banana question

Hi,
Recently i bought Audioquest Dragon speaker cable.
It has at both ends spades which are too small for both speakers' and amplifier's binding posts.
Meanwhile i used Monster's locking bananas that accepts those spades and connects to the binding posts.

i also have a full set of WBT 0645 locking bananas. http://www.wbtusa.com/wbt0645.html

Isn�t it better to cut those spades, make a crimping of cable ends and use WBT's instead of current arrangement?

Additional one - specs says that these 0645s accept up to 10 sq. mm (8 AWG) cable with crimping or up to 16 sq. mm without crimping.

Do you know what is the thickness of Dragon cable? (i didn't find on the net).
