I am about to try MCD 201 in comparison with Audio Synthesis two box. I didnt like the Linn which sounded mechanical to me. McIntosh tends to sound more cohesive, organic (or maybe just warm!)

Linn SC 2.1 for source or McIntosh Mcd201???
Hi there,
I have a chance to aquire a Linn SC 2.1 for a source component.I am also considering the new McIntosh MCD 201 SACD/Cd player.There is one more item in the mix.The McIntosh MDA1000 D/A converter.Putting price aside,allthough I would have to pay a $1500.00 differance for the MDA1000.
What are your opinions on the Linn compared to the McIntosh units?
