Lamm L2 Reference tube recommendation

Any tubes other than stock recommended for the L2 powersupply?

I am thinking of getting L2 but I am concerned of frequent tube replacement. What is your experience about this and how do you know that tubes need to be replaced - by sound ( dull, lack of high frequencies, ?) or inability to maintain 350V on test points 115 and 116? Thanks
