I am unsure what your hearing loss brings to the question. I am not sure which KT-88 Mike Sanders is using as stock these days, but assuming your hearing can distinguish good vs better sound I prefer the Gold Lion Russian KT-88s. If undistorted higher volumes is your concerned, then you may be able to use the Tung Sol Russian KT-120s.
