I would take the Sim. I've heard both and unless you absolutely need the power (which you don't in your case) the Sim is the real winner.
Krell KAV-400xi vs. Sim Audio I-5 LE
I can get both for around the exact same price, the I-5 I am getting a better deal on considering the retail. I realize one has 3 times the power but speaker selection comes after my amp selection. Which one should I get? I want refinement. I also like the idea that the Sim has Amp pre-outs/sub out. It also has a toggle switch for North America and Europe Voltage which is important because I will be in Europe next year. I know there is a mod you can get for the Krell If I wanted to take it with me. What do you guys think?
