Krell KAV 250p

My understanding is that the current KAV 280p allows the use of any input (balanced/rca) for theater bypass mode - I am considering an older KAV 250p but have been unable to find out if this model also allows the use of any input or if the user is restricted to any one particular type? Can anyone clarify this for me.
