FWIW I have an Esoteric DV-50, and had a Linn Unidisc 2.1 for several weeks. The DV-50 is far more accurate, has much better bass, and give the instruments better seperation...on the flip side the Linn has a smoother, kind of 'happier' sound, but was definitely lacking in the bass. I kept the DV-50 as my wife and I both found it to be the better of the two.
