Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?

His passionate hatred for Heresy's and other Klipsch speakers made me laugh.

Interesting that he is saying " if you like female vocal, like Diana Krall, or other female vocals like her, I can see using this speaker ".
To clear the air, PWK designed the 5 original Heritage models, which are the Klipschorn, Belle, Lascala, Cornwall and Heresy ( and, all to a particular price point ).
Schubert, I know you were not kidding, which is why I responded. I an guessing, you never set up a pair ( or heard a pair ) in a consumers home, using proper electronics ( back then Mcintosh tube gear was the match ), and heard them play symphony ( given the front end to be good as well ). If you had heard them play with tube gear, you would be the only listener I ever ran across that felt they were ear bleeders, unless the volume level was ridiculously loud, which was very easy to do. I understand not every speaker is for everyone, but I believe your experiences are inadequate to interpretation. But, no need to go on with this. You enjoy your 5 pair of speakers, and I will enjoy my non ear-bleeding Lascalas. All good my friend. MrD.
Schubert ( and others that do not like Klipsch, or horns for that matter ), and what speakers are you listening to ? It is interesting, that from another room, my updated and modified Lascalas can sound like a live band, or orchestra, is in there playing, which is why I have them. I have been an advocate and a fan boy of the 5 Heritage models for 50 years and have been modifying them for myself and many others, with excellent results. Never boring, always engaging, always enjoying, and, still amazed at the lifelike qualities of any recordings that come my way. To each his / her own. Enjoy my friend ! MrD.
@wolf, I hope you aren't still angry with me. @thehorn, I think you are pretty ignorant, and no question opinionated. Every speaker ever made, whether Klipsch or otherwise, shows a compromise in some way. Every speaker is made to a price point, and can be improved upon further. Can you name a speaker that does not have at least 1 or 2 compromises. At every price level of the 5 original Heritage models, from the beginning to the present, they are, and have been, as good as anything out there. Keep in mind, that we all are different listeners, and each of us are as individualistic as the next. I have owned more speakers than I would like to admit, and I have heard many more in my lifetime. What " perfect " speaker do you own, or are you aware of ? I will await your response. Enjoy ! MrD.
@florida71, you too are showing your ignorance, and individuality. Enjoy ! MrD.
I believe the takeaway here is Klipsch might have it’s faults ( what doesn’t ), but they do more right, musically, than anything else at their respective price points ( to us fanboys ). And for those who understand the weaknesses, and know the secrets ( they aren’t secrets if you know where to get the information ) of how to minimize, or even eradicate, the nasties inherent in the original designs ( and I am still only talking about the 5 original Heritage models ), they are truly wonderful. Even stock, they are wonderful ( but maybe not with a Crown DC300 driving them, lol ). It is unfortunate many folks still have bad things to say about them. Still, Maggies, Vandys, Martin Logans and box type speakers will continue to have their followers and fanboys, and that, folks, is the wonderful world of audio. For a variety of listeners, there are a variety of speakers ( as well as everything else that makes up a system ). Everyone, just Enjoy the Music ! MrD.
jsautter, although " Klipsch might be at the bottom rung on the ladder ", at their respective price points, they do more of what the Cessaros or AGs do than any other design. And with tweaks and modifications, they are still amazing at their lower cost price points. Do your speakers ( system ) sound " live " ? Enjoy ! MrD.
