Kii3

Just got rid of my Kef 207/2's and ordered a pair of Kii 3's.  If they sound as good as they were at Audiohigh in Mountain View Can,. Then I'll let you all know.

Audiohigh has a great Blade setup. At least they did a few years ago when it was in the main room run by the very expensive Chord gear. I listened to that setup for more that 2 hours. Interesting that the OP liked the Kii3 more. I wonder if they had the Kii3 in the same large room as the Blades.
Sandy in what ways did the Kiis win by a large factor?

The Dynaudio Platiniums are good speakers but not worth the price.

Could it be that Audiohighs big open sound rooms don’t work well and are intereacting negatively then a small, self contained speaker with DSP which might because of its design actually work better in their showoom?

Again no sour grapes here, it is not that the Kii aren’t good they are very good, howerver, we have heard them on several occasions and they always sounded like a good small speaker never with the room filling, expansive qualities of a much larger reference setup.

As a Blade dealer we have heard them sound amazing and aweful due to the room.

Most people are looking at the Kii due to its size and simplicity when a large rig just can’t work due to space reasons.
Would love to hear your impressions. Reviews are excellent. Really something to be said for active speakers with dsp. A product that is made from beginning to end to do its thing with no guesswork matching amplification, dac, etc. I am very interested in the KEF LS50W although I’m sure not in the same ballpark as these.

I tested the Kii 3 against the Blade original at Audiohigh and even the Dynaudio Evidence Platinum and a few other megasetups and the Kii3's won by a large factor.  Others in the room, not employees, agreed. I'll be using y B&W DB1 sub for theatre stuff punch
Sorry Sandy, we feel  you will be back.

We have heard the Kii3 at several audio shows and they are very impressive for their size, but they just don't have the sense of size or range that the 207.2 have if you have them working well.

You should have upgraded to a pair of Blades, now that is a huge improvement over the 207.2.

What did you find that made you want to make this change?
