Justin Townes Earle RIP

OMG. It's awful when a father outlives his son. Our condolences, Steve. I sure hope it wasn't a drug overdose; Steve himself is a recovering addict.

Really tragic.  I loved his music, was able to see him play just a single time, he was wonderful.  So young, so sad.  Such a loss.  For music lovers, and his family.

Very sad news. RIP Justin Townes Earle.

I feel pretty out of the loop. I know of his father of course, but I never even heard of him until I read that he had died on my phone yesterday. 

Incredibly sad to hear of his passing. I’ve listened to his music for many years - two of my favorite songs by Justin are “There go a fool” and “Look the other way”. 
He certainly followed in his fathers footsteps in more than one way, he became a talented musician and songwriter, and was addicted to heroin by the age of 16. 
I know what I’ll be listening to this evening.
