Jefferson Airplane

Did someone from Jefferson Airplane die in the last couple of months? Somebody told me that, but I haven't heard any thing else about it. So I hope that it is not true.
I also heard that Hot Tuna is going on tour. Has anybody heard about this. Thanks

Spencer Dryden, the group's second drummer, did indeed die last month. He replaced Skip Spence in 1966, after "JA Takes Off," and appeared on the albums from "Surrealistic Pillow" through "Blows Against the Empire" in 1970.
Spencer also provided a lot of good music with the New Riders of the Purple as well as the various incarnations of the Dinosaurs in the 1980s along with Peter Albin, Robert Hunter, John Cippolina, and Barry Melton.
Elb, Jorma and Co. occasionally play in DC at the http://www.Birchmere.com in Alexandria, VA. Great venue, but I missed the last show or two.
Hot Tuna plays in Philly every Thanksgiving Eve at the Keswick Theatre. What a great way to start a holiday weekend! Cheers,
Spencer
