Jeff Rowland Phono stage

Why is Jeff Rowland able to use an onboard phono stage in there intergrated, and no one else.
That's not true actually. There are plenty of other manufacturers of integrated that offer a phono stage as an option. Bryston does, I think BAT does, and there are many others.
Jond is correct. Most that offer an integrated offer a phono version. Add Audio Note, Musical Fidelity, DK, VAC, Mac, Rouge, and on and on and on.

Well more to the point why do some recomend against this. And, has Rowland overcome any of the problems associated with phone stages in intergrateds (ie: power supplies)
Who recommends against it? And why? What power supply problems? Who is telling you these nasty things! I use a tube integrated w/phono stage, and it has no problems. It does not have a seperate power supply.

If you have a specific question about Rowland equipment, ask it and one of the many members that have Rowland gear should be able to help. Just because a unit does not have a seperate power supply does not mean it is going to have problems. Of course there are advantages, but usually any advantages come at a hefty price premium.
Mon Dieu - Jeff Rowland makes some of the finest audio equipment in the world. The company is also wonderful to deal with. I've dealt with them and have been very happy.
