Musicians I know/knew seem to care mainly about THEIR sound (instrument/setup) much more than their playback system. Funny that Ron Carter uses the same speakers that Herbie Hancock uses hence recommended. I always laughed at Herbie's Bose infomercial where he claim's to rely on the "superior" Wave for his own personal listening. 😄

And not always the newest ones either. Of course I’m a bit biased having both 1C’s and 2CE Sigs. When I hooked-up my first Vandy 1C’s, I immediately felt ‘at home’ and thought they were incredibly ‘musical’, natural, and reproduced a wonderful stage, especially with acoustical music, which I listen to a lot.
