mostly the same. the japanses releases generally ae made in limited quantities, and spare no expense on materials(which can effect sound, in theory). the packaging and printing in generally nicer too. if its worth the price? thats something that everyone debates.
Japanese SACD vs US SACD:same mastering?

I am interested if there is any sonic differences between Japanese and US SACDs (let's say "Dark Side of the Moon" or "Getz/Gilberto")?Japanese SACDs cost 2 or 3 times more.Are they using the same source and mastering as US labels or each country does an independent job on sound?
