James Baldwin's collection

In ‘Another Country’ Baldwin often refers to the playing of Bessie Smith records. The Frog Bessie Smith remasters are amazing. 

I was assigned ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ in high school. I then read ‘Another Country’ and realized it to be his greatest undertaking. I’d like to see the same type of list attributed to the American poet Elizabeth Bishop.
