Isoacoustics GAIA question

I just posted in the other thread you asked the question.

Follow Isoacoustic's advice. I had the IIs and my speakers were right at the upper edge of the weight rating for the IIs. I sent the IIs back. 

The GAIA I will give you better results, be more stable, and can be used more effectively with other speakers you may rotate through.

@tonediary  I completely understand. It's a big 'hit' especially relative to the 2s. If you do not have any isolation (other than the feet/footers/base supplied) I highly, highly recommend some form of isolation. My opinion - speaker isolation is as important as the cabling you choose to use with the speakers. In some cases, the upside is even greater.

You have a number of options. The GAIAs are an easy one to try out and if you go through the right channel, are easily returnable.

@tonediary, if you're in the UK, you have a good alternative to the GAIA. Townshend Audio makes a line of great isolation products, all incorporating his Seismic Pod. Check out his You Tube video describing and explaining it, and demonstrating it's effectiveness.

Anyone know of any gaia vs Townshend comparisons? I’ve considered a pair of Townshend bars as well as the gaia’s for my speakers. Still not sure what direction I’ll go, although I do like the Townshend videos. They’re persuasive for the science types...

I just added Aperta 200s under my loudspeakers to good effect.

Any idea how the Gaia compares to Stillpoints? They are cheaper than the Stillpoints

I put up Gaia ii under Lansche 4.1

Later, I found out that my speaker weigh 60kg over the limit of Gaia ii.

But Gaia ii do the magic to my speaker with more transparent soundstage and better focus.

You may go either way.

The Gaia's are a relatively new product, so any comparison to well known products will be forthcoming.

Gaia also do magic to me.

It provides excellent improvement at reasonable cost.

What type Is material used for plastic of gaia foots - Is It hard gum or similar, does It bend If load Is more than recommended

Is It safe and reliable using Gaia II with 16 kg load per foot

I purchased GAIA II for my KEF R11's.  Best money I've ever spent for sound improvement with speakers on hard floors.  Highly recommend them.
