Is still the same? best digital cable is AES/EBU

Or Toslik regained a bit of verginity with real glass types ?
Have the chance to select between AES/EBU 110 Ohm or Toslink or spdif.
Very much interested to know the comparative price performance ratio. Can you share the feeling that AES or SPDIF are better but only when big money are allocated for the purchase ? On the contrary glass optical types are moderate in price, correct
Thanks for the help and feel free to nominated good candidates

Toslink is a crappy interface from an engineering standards perspective. There isn't a lot that can be done to enhance it. That is why toslink cables are relatively inexpensive. IMO weakest part of toslink is the connector. I put Hal-O interconnect dampers on mine to minimize the wiggle.

Between AES/EBU and SPDIF, I think AES/EBU has the best engineering standard. But actual sound quality will depend on the design and implementation of the cable and the interface on the equipment.
HI,
IN THEORY, AES/EBU IS BETTER. HOWEVER, MANY MANUFACTURERS SHORTCUT THIS CONNECTION.
UNLESS YOUR USING DODSON, THETA,DCS, ETC., IT"S MAY BE A BETTER CHOICE USE THE SPDIF.
