Is China Forbes pitch perfect?

Any Pink Martini fans would probably understand why I ask this question. I just listened to Sympathique's 'Lullaby' song, which is the last song off of the 'Sypathique' release. It is the most hauntingly beautiful vocals I've ever heard in my life. China Forbes voice is without a doubt one of the best female vocals I've ever heard. It's difficult for me to even argue that statement with myself. Could she be pitch perfect? This is obviously my own opinion, but man can she sing.

The Pink Martini song 'Clementine' off of Hang on Little Tomato is a female vocal force to be reconed with. I think she may be the perfect female voice. I realize we all have our favorites but WTF??? This chick is unreal. I don't know what she looks like, but I'm gonna maul her if I meet her.

For any female vocal heads that are unfamiliar with Pink Martini, you should check them out. China Forbes is a talent like no other I've ever heard.

I'm a big fan of China and Pink Martini but I would say she is uneven, ranging from the good to the excellent. So don't overdo it. An example: the French song about Syracuse (Sicily), track 10 on Hey Eugene, features some ineffective, shakey singing by China (it's a wonderful, show-off-your-stereo song, BTW, but not so much because of CF). That said, she is often excellent.

You know who really rocks on that band - Gavin the trumpeter. He is out of this world good.

They're certainly not treating anyone for glaucoma in Portland. I heard it's similar to Jamaica there.

Not too cool, but I'd love to see China Forbes in one of those strip clubs! She looks as perfect as she sounds.

Pink Martini is about as much fun as any music lover will ever find. Their music is so eclectic. China is a phenomenon. Her voice is a gift from God. I regularly enjoy all 4 Pink Martini albums. If you haven't heard them, make the effort! Hang on Little Tomato might be a good place to start. China is a Siren!

I agree! I have her two solo albums "'78" and "Love Handle" and she has a marvelous voice. I have never heard any of the Pink Martini stuff, but I do really like her.
