Is .5m Eagle Eye better than 1.5m Hawk Eye?

I saw reports and discussions that say digital audio s/pdif cables need to be 1.5m or longer. Shorter ones don't sound as good. But is .5m Eagle Eye better than 1.5m Hawk Eye?
