IMHE, running Audirvana+, PureMusic or Amarra will all give you better SQ than running iTunes to your dac. So I would think that the iPod Touch would functionally work, but wouldn't be close sonically. Cheers,

iPod Touch vs Macbook
I am fairly new to the digital world and was wondering if an iPod Touch which a capable of running cd quality files would make a good source.. I would be using an iPod into an external Dac, then into an integrated amp connected to speakers. I guess I am asking if an iPod can keep up with a Macbook Pro for sound quality with the same lossless files. Any thought would be appreciated!
