Inexpensive CD Transport...
Couple of considerations, the Emotiva ERC-4 using its AES outputs, the NuPrime CDT-8. As stated in another thread I wouldn't consider a transport if it didn't have AES due to what I perceive to be superior connection and digital transfer method. BTW the NuPrime also has I2S outputs which may or may not be beneficial to you and your existing DAC. Hope this helps. |
If you're talking inexpensive, try to track Ebay for factory refurbished CXCs which show up at $300-350. IMO, the best deal for the money. Works very well and I don't think it can be bettered at the refurbished price. If I had to pay full price, I think I would be tempted to go for the Audiolab if I had to go without audition. |

I watched Steve's video on Leak. I still can't figure out if he liked it or not. Knowing his mannerisms from watching a ton of his videos, I don't think he is particularly enthusiastic about it. I agree. I think he liked it at first, but by the end, I wasn't too sure?
