Indy Audio Labs Acurus Act4

Hello all,

Has anyone here had a chance to hear this new processor.  Im trying to decide between this new offering and the Marantz, or the McIntosh Mx 160.

I've had my Act4 now for 15 days and am still amazed at the sound and video quality it presents. Did some minor setup in my room and am beyond thrilled with my purchase. No I would not say that it has all the features or settings that many other brands include but to me, after 15 days of auditioning, there is nothing I've heard past or present that comes even close to the performance of the Act4. I am constantly amazed at the attack, response, purity, clarity, depth and width I discern in musical performance of all genre's I've tried. All instruments sound as they should in the performance. Indyaudio certainly has developed one outstanding product in the Act 4. There may be equal to or better units out there but I have not heard them and would not be able to afford them if I had. The Act 4 really delivers.

I am glad I took a leap of faith with this purchase.
Customer support has been superb as it should be for a product of this caliber.  Jim S CEO of Marketing is working with me personally to get my unit upgraded with the latest firmware as nearest dealer is several hundred miles away.

For those who are in the market for a superb processor, Do not pass up auditioning the Act4, unless you are deaf you WILL be amazed by what you hear.
@maxwave,  this may come as a surprise but after the setup in my environment without trying to get to the standard level of dB at listening position I forgot all about the THX standard. It sounds so superb I'm wondering if it even matters. I will have to remember to inquire about it though. Seems trivial to me now. It's a fantastic processor in both multi and 2 Ch operation. I left the levels at factory setting and adjusted for distance only. Left all PEQ at factory settings too. Mind you, my environment is very well treated and audio friendly. It really needs no room correction. Speakers seem to disappear and are not noticeably heard unless they were meant to be. It's one hell of a soundstage.
All I can say for sure is that I'm blown away and thrilled with it.
@maxwave,  after discussion with customer support information was provided that volume control of the Act4 is independent of internal noise generator. Proceedures to set THX levels is to set volume to 72 then use the adjustments in the speaker setup menu to fine tune levels at listening position using the internal or external white noise generator. Hope this helps. I'm going to try this later.
