I learned about power
Well, I snagged a pair of Platinum Audio Session 1 speakers, which like the Solo's are pretty power hungry. I also have Odyssey Loreleis (more efficient floorstanders).
They were being driven by a Berning EA-230 triode (30 watts/ch)....
Then, I get a used Blue Circle 22 upgraded to MKII and with its 100+ watts/ch, helped the Platinums go lower and the Loreleis to control that tremendous lower bass it has. The sound coming from the speakers just seem better defined, and more "meaty"...
Now I am envisioning Phil Jones' AAD 2001 monitors flanking a nice McIntosh MC252.
