I fasten these with tie wraps very tightly together,ourelse u can use Gorilla black tape which grips like a tornado onto itself. U pull tightly and overlap maybe 1/4 inch on the cables and it seems to act as an effective noise reducer and resonant reducer for the entire system. On my monsterous speaker cable I cut from an 8 by 11 sheet of Deflex about 4 1/2 inch off wide and overlap this tightly and secure both ends first and then wrap toward middle of the first 4 1/2 by 11 sheet for my first padded section and then continue on the length of the cable until its all padded up.The entire length of the cable is completely padded up when finished. The other problem if doing this to cables is they become very heavy and you really can't let them dangle down especially with ic's ourelse the weight of them may pull them out of the rca jacks,But if u use locking rca wtb's they may work okay. Its time consuming but you won't beleive how much better your system will become.

I have seen diagrams of lets say some high end cable companies also address damping into the use of their products. So others have been employing this principle on a commercial level. I just figured out how us everyday people can do this as well.
