I Dislike new format

Recent Activity no longer includes updates and comments on Virtual Systems.  This is a major problem as far as I am concerned.

I agree, there are many members who's systems are evolving and I like reading about changes.   I hope that‘s addressed.

Its only Audiogon i can live with it.

This was the most important feature of the old forum layout and a significant loss. 

Completely true about the updates to virtual system. With people updating their system, it was like following the recent trend or an exiting product. But with that absent, you have to search for components. I am not interested in people's system if they have not updated for last several years. The most up-to-date systems are always good to read about and research.
Please bring back this feature.

The new format works fine for me. I never look at Virtual Systems. I do like the new "following" feature and the new search options. It also now sorts in real time, which is a great improvement.

ptss - honestly, if you dislike the system why don't you tell us why? Maybe those things can be addressed. Sounds more like you are just trying to start a negative thread. Does that really help anything?

No problems so far but type face bugs me. Prefer sans serif.

dtc, I simply said I didn't like the new format and wondered how others felt. It is what it is. Did they request user input before changes? I don't wish to create anything negative. I'll drop it. Good night.

There still may be additions and changes to the new site.  I’m sure the new software allows for it, also notice the  FORUM logo still says BETA.

I don’t like the high contrast background on the forum. I also prefer sans serif.

I sent an email to Audiogon and they are aware of the issue with Virtual Systems not showing up with new content.   They say they are working on it.

There are a lot of systems that I keep up with, they are valuable for me and I like the photographs of peoples rooms.  

I believe in fixing anything that's broken, but I didn't think there was anything broken about the old format. Change for change sake is senseless. I'm sure I'll get used to it just like the last Audiogon format change, I just don't understand why it was needed.

I believe they were not able to do any changes to the old format. It is well over a decade old. The new version is built on a modern platform and will allow additions going forward. They have added several new features like improved searching options, the "Following" option and real time sorting of posts. Hopefully, more will follow.

I can't imagine how anyone would prefer the old format over the new one. The old format was as generic as generic gets.

The only thing I always hated about this forum was the required Mod approval for every post before it was viewable. This regulation would explain my whopping 70 posts at most since 2006 

I'd like a format that includes personal messaging.  Or do we already have that and I just haven't figured it out...?

Things take time to adjust to. Our comfort zones were removed but it’s not the end of the world. We’ll adapt. We always do. Like Albert did, let them know. For the first few days a dialogue box appeared on the right side of the screen and asked for feedback. I let them know that on a PC at work that the responses were cut off mid word on the thread instead of properly done with hyphens, when applicable, and it turned out it was the OS of the old PC at work. It doesn’t happen on my Mac.

They’re listening, probably right now.....
