I can't decide vr4jr's or Acoustic Zen Adagios?

I've been auditioning the vr4jr, B&W 803s or the Acoustic Zen adagio! any suggestions?

Heard all three you mentioned, including the VS and the AZ head-to-head about a month ago. It was absolutely no contest- the Adagios blew the VS away.

I had actually gone specifically to listen to the much-heralded VS, and probably would have liked them somewhat had I not been corrupted by two amazing hours with the Adagios immediately before.
I have the VR2's and was seriously considering an upgrade to the VR4's until I heard the Adagio's at the Home Theater Show in LA last weekend. The Adagio's better the VR's to my ear's for musicality, clarity, extension, etc. In short I am buying them. Frankly, aside from the top of the line MBL system, the Adagio's driven by Red Dragon mono's were the most enjoyable of all the systems I auditioned. I understand why the reviewer in TAS was gushing over these. Best I've heard for the price or even doulbe the price. BTW - that includes the Revel F32, the Hyperion's, Wilson Duette's, Von Schweikert's and many others I've listen to recently. Of course its always a matter of personal preference. Enjoy the hunt.

I find the Adagios to be amazing. The vr4jr's were just to polite for my taste. These Az's have livened things up immensely.
Conchyjoe7, in a fast second? how much of a diff is there between the two? i would be saving 1or2k if i get the vr4jr and i could use that money to build my ht system! are the adagios in your opinion that much superior? thanks!
I am wondering how the VR4 Jr.s would be in a VAS home theater set up? Does anyone know how they would compare to my Polk Audio LSi15s?
Jtinn, i don't know if when you write "what do you hear" you want me to write my opinion! i loved the musicality of the speaker and was very impressed! but before i purchase i would like to hear more from people like you guys! dealer & owners of this fine speaker!

Jtinn, i listen to mostly jazz, poncho sanchez, joe sample, boney james, rick braun, etc and some funk-rock too! and also if you own the jr's, what speaker cable do you use? i need to upgrade if i buy them! i was thincking Satori shotgun by Ac Zen or oval 9's by anal plus! I currently use B&K 7250 series II 200x5, Arcam fmj27A, and Monster Z biwire. thanks!
obviously the further away from the back wall the better. In my room I can only have my JR's 12 inches from the back wall. Still sound pretty darn good.
VR4JR was an amazing performer when I auditioned it the only fear I have is har far from the back wall can you place it to sound its best.
Sologed: What do the auditions tell you? I have heard all and am a dealer for Von Schweikert because I think they are the best, but again, what do you hear?
