I was able to audition the LS50's today at Ember's in Winston-Salem. Wow! Great speakers. Unfortunately, they did not have the X300A's in stock to audition. Might be hard to be happy with something less than the LS50's now. :) He did say the price is about to drop on the X300A's, though, for anyone who might be interested.
How Would Actives Compare? Emotive 5S / KEF X300A
Has anyone auditioned either the Emotiva AirMotiv 5S or the KEF X300A Active speakers? I'm wondering how they might compare to my NAD C326BEE/PSB Alpha B1 combo. I know the KEF's are ~2x more expensive than the Emotiva's, but I don't know where I could audition these other than in the home.
