How to reduce power supply noise.

I've defeated all of the grounding plugs in my power cables with great results.

that's NOT a good idea.

I'm thinking of improvements inside the CD-DVD players.

What power supply modification? What is done? I think more attention should be on interference and "crosstalk" within the system-certainly the Spectral interview suggested as much. If that "magic"cloth? that was supposed to block RFI & EMI ?? worked I'd wrap everything in it. That cloth didn't seem to work from post here but I imagine there are other things to isolate various digital areas--but what are they? There must be an electronics whiz reading this....

Thanks for info Tvad. I am not considering spending $2000-$3000 on upgrades to my Lexington RT-20; which presently sells for about $1000 brand new. (I have invested that in MIT power conditioning/isolation products and power cords and find every cent well spent. Incredible enhancement to detail, purity, delicacy and dynamics-this RT-20 is a surprisingly musical player in my Spectral/MIT system.)I would like to do mods myself; double shipping money can be spent on parts.
I'm thinking along the lines of perhaps small bypass caps that would be easily installed or perhaps a Bybee product, or isolation for the transformer or anti vibration for the transformer.

I personally had a surprisingly improved signal to noise reduction from using Alan Maher's Power Enhancer products The idea is each device treats the power line in your home which feeds your equipment by removing AC power supply related artifacts.

I was shocked that this was indeed the case. Consider most equipment in your house has a power supply running on the line and its effects are relatively unknown till now.

Less money spent great bang for the buck and his new products now use Quantum treatment with Bybee technology.

Alan's Reference II walwart is amazing. I haven't tried all his stuff yet, but this new unit is so good that it replaced the PEII, PEIII, and PEIV. Amazing bargain for $100.00. Great technology.
