It would be very simple to build a regulator. In fact, it only takes a single 3 pin IC that drops 12V down to 5V. Radio Shack has them for about $1.50.

I use an ead processor with a 12v trigger and mcintosh amps with a 5v power up trigger what do I do? The folks at mcintosh say that I can burn up the 5v trigger I know niles makes a trigger that converts everything to 12v but I can't seem to find one to do 5v Thanks
