How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck?

In my opinion this one the greatest improvements in audio in 40 years. AA is full of discussions about it, but there has been nothing here. Maybe that a $575 tweak is beyond Audiogoners?

I'm definitely interested. $65 is quite a lot of money to test one CD, however, so I'm waiting for more input from others.
I contacted George Louis and he responded today by e-mail. While he said he could make me a copy, he said that he really would rather not take the time away from filling confirmed orders. That's understandable, and he indicated he was very busy. But there is no return policy on the duplicator. Is anyone willing to make me a copy if I send you a check for a reasonable amount (maybe $25)? Thanks...$600 is a bit much for me, for something so new - and for something it is not possible to audition.
Exactly what is meant by those who use "endorsement" in this context? Is it that some people think Tbg (or anyone who is very enthusiastic about something)is making money off the product? If so, I imagine it might help others as well, if this was stated more clearly and explicitly. If the term means something else to others who use it, I would genuinely like to know what is meant.

FWIW, I value the differences of opinion that I read here. When posts are nasty and sarcastic I find them less credible.
Onhwy61 - I was not sure why you used the word "claim", so I looked at the original post. I don't see the word there. My opinion is that the weather is nice where I live today. Obviously someone with different priorities might have a different opinion. If I "claimed" that it WAS a nice day, despite what the other person thought or felt, I can see why that person might be upset with me. In addition, I might think something to be one of the best 5 improvements. Another might consider something to be one of the best 500. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be pedantic or condescending. I just don't really see your point.
I guess I'll try one more time to get some clarification from a poster. Robm321: what do you mean by "overhyped"? That it doesn't meet your expectations (have you heard the results from an R Check copy? If not, I also don't understand "...so far it's really not"), everyone's expectations, the majority's? I expect a relatively small number have this duplicator at this point (by the way, I don't have one). I'm personally not going to make a decision about getting one until I have more input. And, if I DO get one (or have an opportunity to compare several originals and CD-Rs by others on my system), THEN I will offer my opinion about its merits. I'm realizing the main theme of my questions and posts recently has to do with opinions offered without any experience. I simply do not understand it. As for the fact that someone INITIATES a very positive comment about a product, therefore then making that product "overhyped": I don't think we'd get very far in learning about good new products if no one started such threads. Tbg obviously listens to a LOT of new products before others do, so it makes sense to me (and it seems like a gift) that he would initiate a post when he excited about something.
In the interest of getting this resolved, I am willing to contribute $10 toward the purchase of a "community" duplicator. We would then need only about 20 more people to purchase one from George Louis, a few more people to buy the $229 unit from Ioshop. Alternatively, we could purchase a Plextor duplicator (see the site Tvad provided) for $445. Clearly we would need more people (and/or bigger contributions) to do that. In any case, we could take nominations as to who would get the unit first, and those who contributed could vote. The person chosen would have to agree to scientifically (i.e. control other variables) compare a CD-R made on this "generic" unit with one made on a Reality Check unit. We could even pass these CDs around, so that everyone could hear the diffence. Or even have several pairs made for comparison purposes. Just some thoughts on a slow day at work.
To the board: is there any chance that you might filter out posts that are largely (or wholly) about denigrating individuals, i.e. not mainly opinions about equipment or music?
Tvad - I think I understand, and I certainly respect what you had to say in your post beginning "Gentlemen and ladies..." I do not see the posts as "attacks" per se, which is why I did not use that word. Nor do I "...support that which cannot, or will not, be verified". I take no position on the RC business, as I would need to hear both the RC and the cheaper duplicator results for myself, no matter what George Louis says. I agree wholeheartedly with you with regard to the value of questions and discussion. I just don't know how anyone could answer the very reasonable question "...if there is another burner containing identical Plextor drives that produces the same changes." That is, without listening to both. So far, to my knowledge, George Louis is (presumably) the only one who has done that.

I do see SOME of the posts on Audiogon to be primarily about denigrating individuals, sometimes thinly veiled, and sometimes not. In some cases, in fact, I see nothing about equipment or music in them at all. Then there are those individuals who clearly now have a pattern of being almost always negative, and/or "baiting" other people (please understand I am not talking about you! :) It appears that a couple of the recent posts which moved me to ask the question I did of the board (and were examples of what I am speaking of) have been removed, so I cannot refer you to them to read. What I said yesterday to the board had absolutely nothing at all to do with George Louis and his responsibilities.
Norm - I suspect all of us with new Cool Copy units will need to break them in a bit before knowing how good they are. So far I'm much more impressed with the Nano. fluid than the cool copies and, in addition to break-in, I need to experiment more as well.
