Hooking up Vmps RM40s

In the back of my RM 40s are 4 sets of posts for the speaker wires, then below is another set? I have jumpers from the bottom to the bottom of the top 4. Where do I hook my speaker wires from my amp to? The highs aren't working maybe I just don't have them wired right? I miss my speakers. Help me please

Landscapes,
Run your wires from your amp to the top (bass) posts, and run the jumpers from there to the bottom posts (mid/treble). I'm a VMPS owner/demonstrator. If this doesn't do it, you will need to call Brian Cheney at VMPS for more help.
Yes run them as above. I own VMPS speakers that require biamp for the record (FF3SRE W outboard crossover).
Hi Landscapes106,

Your description is a little cryptic.

The analog, onboard XO RM40 will have ONLY one pair of binding posts for the WOOFERS (which is the upper set) and one pair for the Mid/Tweets (which is the lower set)as mentioned by Dorkwad.

Your descriptions makes it sound like you have far more that 2 pair per speaker.

Is it possible you have RM40s that require an OXO (outboard Crossover)?

If so, that would normally have 3 pair of binding posts on the back of the speaker, and an OutBoard X-over box that will have the 2 pair of "ins" one woofers and one for Mids/Tweets, and the output of the box wil be three pairs of wires (Woofs, Mids, and Tweets)

Which RM40 do you have?

If your pair requires the OXO boxes, DO NOT hook them up direct to the back of the RM40's themselves as you could blow the tweeter.
My VMPS have the VMPS outboard crossover and its solely for bass only with internal crossovers in the speaker for all other drivers. I have only 2sets of binding posts on my speakers. I read that info provided too and was sort of confused with picturing 3 sets of binding posts but figured the poster who was previous me was in the know.
Hi Chad,

Yes, over the years Brian has had different designs that have different "connections'. However in the RM40 you have the following:

1) Standard RM40 with onboard (internal) analog XO. This speaker will have 2 pair of standard binding posts with the woofers driven by the top pair and the MR/Tweets driven by the bottom pair. They will need a "jumper" or a Single BiWire if powered by a amp channel or monobloc.

2) The RM40 with OUTBOARD (external box) analog XO termed an "OXO". This speakers OXO will have 2 pair of standard binding posts with the woofers driven by the top pair and the MR/Tweets driven by the bottom pair on the "in puts" and 3 pair of wires that connect to 3 pair of binding posts on the rear of the RM 40.

3) The RM40 with DIGITAL OUTBOARD (external box) digital XO termed the "DOXO". This speakers DOXO will be fed signal from the preamp, and will then perform all XO functions in the digital domain. It will have 2-3 pair of RCA line level outs that then go to the Power Amps (biamping required/triamping possible) The appropriate amps, then will power the standard binding posts with the woofers driven by the top pair and the MR/Tweets driven by a "bridged" connection "OR" they can be separately amped. (creating triamping) In this version the RM40 will also have 3 pair of binding posts on the rear.

Probably sound very complex, and that is why it is best to explain and communicate it over the phone or in person.

It sounds to me like the OP has one of the OUTBOARD versions and is attempting to connect it WITHOUT the crossover.
