HiDiamond Power cords...

Has anyone tried the Power 3,2,1 power cords from HiDiamond. If so can you explain in best detail the qualities, strengths and which component you chose it on. I'm also curious which cords they compare to within the market.

The Graphite plugs and IEC's I purchased will not replace what is on my HD Cables.
I plan on making a couple of DIY power cables using high quality silver/ copper wire.
I would also like to hear from owners about the Power cord 3 and how it compares to others.
I am currently using Synergistic Hologram D,A and Precision.

By the way, I just posted my thoughts about the HiDiamond digital cable on the HiDiamond digital thread.
I've got the itch to try another HiDiamond cable. I own the BSG Qol unit,(an excellent product),on that unit I am using the Synergistic Tesla T2 power cord. It seems adaquate, but I wonder if the power cord may be holding back even more potential for the Qol. The Qol is a low powered Analog device.

So, those of you with the HiDiamond 3 power cords, have you found it works better on low powered equipment or Higher amperage equipment?

And is it better suited for Digital or Analog equipment?
Noway would I describe the HD cables as warm. JUst start with one HD power cable if you dont like it it will sell quickly on audiogon.

Well, I went ahead and ordered a P4. I plan on using it to power my Audience Power Conditioner.
I just recieved my Powercord 4. I put it on my Audiodharma cable cooker for about 4-5 days before trying it.
With only one powercord 4 should I use it on my Audience powering my digital equipment or the Audience powering my analog equipment?
Fplanner2000, I did and I ended up selling My SR XLR Apex's. The HiDiamond XLR3's are much more livelier with a more open soundstage
Fplanner2000, The HiDiamond has a little wider and deeper soundstage than the SR Apex.
But, like I previously mentioned the HiDiamond XLR sounded more "lively". Once I exchanged the cables and heard the liveliness, there really was no going back.

I have placed the Audience aRp2-TO units on the floor and I have a power cord connecting them to the wall. I am doing this because the Audience unit's are huge and is just too big to just plug into the wall outlet because it overlaps the double outlet wall outlet.

Right now, I have another SR Precision Ref power cord from the wall connecting to my Audience that powers my digital.

On the Analog side, I have the same set up ,except, I have a HD P3 from the wall connecting to the Audience.

So, my plan with the new HD P4 is to replace the SR Precison power cord with the HD P4 and either sell or use the SR power cable on my Denon home theater equipment.

I will eventually get another P-4 for my other dedicated line/Audience as soon as I rob another bank...

Happy New Year!
Moonguy, I am not sure. I guess you will have to ask Robert from Worldwide.
I know I had discussed with him about getting a power cord with the IEC end detached for possible hard wiring. Perhaps just buy a Neutrik powercon connector and exchange the ends yourself.
Well,Sabai,

I just purchased several of these
PC-US-GFAL-R
Graphite fibre Power plug (IEC plug, Male)
PC-IEC-GFAL-R
Graphite fibre Power plug (IEC plug, Female)

Looks to me to be similiar to what comes on the HD Power cord 4.
Fplanner2000, Bacardi, I have tried the P4 from the wall to the power conditioner (Audience) and it is am improvement. But, my CD player (Cary 306 SACD) is also my Dac, so perhaps Fplanner2000 point about using the P4 on the CD player would be the better place.

But then again, my Preamp may benefit with the P4 since everything eventually goes through it.

It is difficult to just swap the cables behind my Audio racks but I will try this weekend.

Anyone else have any experience as to where the best placement for my single P4? All my other powercords are the P3's.
Fplanner2000, You were right on!
Placing the P4 on the CD/Dac is a big sonic improvement.
I thought that placing the P4 before the Power Conditioner would benefit all of the components plugged into it, but I guess I was wrong.
Next, to save up for another P4 for my Preamp.
Fplanner2000,Guidocorona,Knghifi,
Ok I went ahead an ordered another P4.
I'll try it first on the Amp , then the Preamp and then the Qol.
Recieved my second P4 power cable. I cooked it for three days on my Audiodharma cable cooker before trying it.

First I tried it on my Pass Labs preamp, then my Pass Labs Amp and finally on my BSG QOL unit. In these three places I noticed just a slight improvement.

I knew Pass equipment has been referred to as not requiring anything special in the way of power cords so, I put the P4 on my BSG QOL unit.
As I said the first day after the cable cooking there was not too much improvement, but today, one day later, there is a remarkable change in the sound quality.
Perhaps this change is do to just coming off the cooker or just needing more playing time, I dunno..

So, I'll let it play for a week on the QOL and then try it again on the Pass Amp and then the Pass Preamp.
Well I put the P4 Powercord on my Pass Labs Amp. There definitely is an increase in deep bass along with a more fleshed out sound.
I'm going to get another for my BSG Qol.
Well I now have 3 of the P4 power cords. And I have lost count on the P3's. I did notice that the P3 is very good on my Oppo Blue ray player. The video looks better but the sound quality had definatly improved. I was using a TG power cord on it before.

I have one P4 on my CD/Dac, one on my BSG Qol and still undecided if the P4 sounds better on my Pass Labs Preamp or my Pass Labs Amp.
I'll wait until the powercord is fully broken before I decide. I hope I won't have to buy one more...
Kzhtoo, I don't know what you were using prior to ordering the HD P3 but I am very impressed with the P3.
I think you'll be very pleased.
The P3 took about 3 days of break in on my Cable Cooker. So,without a cable cooker you may have to wait a few hundred hours to fully appreciate the cables.
P.S. The P4 takes about double that time for break in.
I ordered my 4th Powercord 4. I began moving my extra Powercord 3's to my home theatre equipment.Try the Powercord 3 on the Oppo 95, quite impressive.
Finally, I am rid of all of my Synergistic Research cables.
Knghifi, Yeah the wife and kids may be disappointed, but my dog still loves me.

His favorite song is from the Beatles, "Good Morning". Before he would howl(sing)near the end when the dogs started barking. But with the P4's he will start singing at the beginning of the tune.

Each HD P4 added continues to add depth and realism that I did not think was possible.
I have all HiDiamond XLR3 interconnects, Reference HD digital, and 4 HD4 power cords and about 6 of the HD3 power cords.
I use these power cables throughout my 2 channel and home theater equipment.
Best investment one can make in cabling.
Bigkidz, I feel that my system is the best I could afford for the type of sound and music I prefer.
Cables will be necessary regardless of if or when I may change components in the future.

Until the technology for completely wireless connections are perfected, the HiDiamond Cables are the way to go, regardless of the system.
Siddh, What I noticed between the 2 power cords is that the Powercord HD3 will bring out the dynamics like very few power cords can but with the HD4 there is also a much more calmer presentation which allows the music to go much deeper towards my inner enjoyment.
Yo2tup. No, the P4 adds to the already dynamic P3 presentation with calmness that is ever so pleasurable.
Even though I own all HiDiamond interconnects and power cords, I have maintained my DIY speaker cables that are made out of pure 9999 silver 14 & 18 gauge soft annealed wire.

I would be very interested in opinions of the D8 speaker cables from those of you who have them.
For biwire, do you have 2 separate runs or are you using jumpers?
Paz307 , I agree with you once I replaced the SR power cord with the HiDiamond I remember it being a big upgrade.

But hold on to your senses and check book...
Once I removed my SR Powercell and replaced it with a couple of Audience Ar2p-TO units one on each dedicated circuit and a PS Audio P10 plugged into one of the Audience units on my front end sources, I couldn't believe how much better the sound quality became. If you shop wisely you can get all of these for the price of a Powercell. And no more little mini couplers to deal with.
Jazzonthehudson, No I haven't yet.
My JL Audio Subs are on a separate dedicated circuit and my Pass Labs are also on there own dedicated. These items are physically too far away to plug into the PS-10, which is also on its own dedicated circuit. At the front of each dedicated circuits is the Audience ARP2-TO.
To me, the P4 makes the music sound calmer and effortless. Sort of like when you hear a HI-Rez version of your favorite music.
I just purchased a new 4K 85" Samsung TV and just for the heck, I replaced the cheapo power cord it came with with the HD P4 power cord.
My what an increase in detail!
