hi AuGonErs,
after being with my dunlavy sc4 for about a year now,i think it is time for me to try something new.there s nothing wrong with the dunlavy, but i am still new to the game and still in search for the end of the road(if there is one).I am planning to trade my with another fellow auGoner and try to keep around the same price range.please recomend something that i can try within 2000-2500.i listen to mostly jazz.speakers will be running off the KR mono blocks/22Watts and BAT pre-amp..thanks

From all accounts, the Dunlavy SC-IV is a very fine speaker. If you feel you need to try something else in the same general used price range, you might want to check into:
Kharma Ceramique 3.0, which is a little above your price range (3.1 is newer, but about twice the 3.0 used price), the Montana SPX (though if you have the money, another $1500 or so, the Montana EPX is another fine option) or the Vandersteen 5 (which may be available at a little above your price range). The Vandersteen 4a coupled with a Vandersteen 2Wq subwoofer would be less expensive than the 5 but the 4a with a pair of 2Wq's would cost about the same as a used 5.

You may have a hard time doing a direct trade for just the speaker you want. I'd guess you'd have to sell yours and then buy the speakers you choose. Good luck.

P.S. I'm not affiliated with any of those companies (which I listed alphabetically) but can hook you up with someone from Montana since I own those speakers -- drop me a note if you are interested. No, I don't get any kickbacks ;-)
