Help needed with subwoofer hookups.

Greetings All,
Just acquired an SX-1025 receiver to replace my 1 year old hi-tech Onkyo. Can't deal with all the bells and whistles, going back to old school. My issue...how do I connect my powered subwoofers?
I found some info on using the receiver's Pre Out / Power In Amp jacks and it stated to use a pair of RCA splitters to power the subs. Unfortunately it did not explain how to connect the splitters or which side to use and if the Pre Out / Power In needs to be re-connected.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Steve

Does the SX-1025 have the pre-out/amp-in jumpers? If so, remove the jumpers. Put an RCA splitter on the pre-out. Connect a set of long RCA interconnect cables from one of the splits to the subwoofer line-level inputs. Connect another set of short RCA interconnect cables on the other split, then connect it to the amp-in on the receiver.
Similar to what reubent said, but using a different splitter and one less cable.

Use a pair of Y-cables (splitter) like this to connect the pre out/power in after the jumpers are removed, one for the left and the other for the right,

Then connect long RCA interconnects to the female connectors on the Y-cables, and run to the subwoofer.
THANK YOU BOTH for the replies! I have RCA splitters and Y-cables so I'll see which way works best.

Your quick replies are much appreciated.
