Help me pick a great phono cable

Good people of Audiogon:

Looking to make an upgrade to an excellent phono cable for my current analog setup. Currently using very inexpensive cable, and I'd like to stretch the budget to $750 (or less) and get a cable that will give me more detail, resolution, and soundstage. Listen to all kinds of music, but especially jazz and bluegrass. Full system is listed, and the front end is as follows:

Dynavector XX2 mkII cartridge
VPI JMW 10.5i (Classic 3) tonearm
VPI Aries 2 Black Knight
McIntosh C2300 preamplifier with MC phono stage

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

OK, so I have a bias toward Herron Audio equipment. But I've heard particularly sound using Heith Herron's audio cables. They run from my table (VPI Aries) through to the amps. IMO, Herron cables are very reasonably priced and perform quite well. Great detail and texture, smooth balance, very good micro dynamics, no compression. Used the cable successfully with an OC9 and Clavis da Capo.

That's just me. YMMV. But a call to Keith might be a good place to start.
