Help I have occasional audio-itis ....

I wonder how many of you out there feel that on some days, your ears are working great and then .... wham, bam, they just seize up and I don't feel like listening at all. I just want to turn the volume down and switch the music off altogether.
I know it isn't the system or the voltage lines because I can tell it's my ears begging to laze about for a day off. It's not that they have been fatigued from extended listening sessions the day or two before. No, this malady can strike at any time of the day and I just know it when it happens. Has anyone else experienced this same mysterious audio-itis?
It does sound akin to having your voice go off key, or your tongue tripping on words, or your body not wanting to get physical, or your brain not wanting to think. Well, this can happen to ears, too, I guess. From a medical standpoint, it stands to reason that physical and emotional well-being are required for music enjoyment. But when I am struck by audio-itis, I know it's only my ears even as I may feel well physically and emotionally well.

I think everybody is agreeing with this statement.
