HELP: Bel Canto DAC2 Problem

I just bought a bel canto DAC2 from a fellow here on audiogon, but it has a weird problem. It would work perfectly fine for 10 minutes or so, and then all I can hear is static and discontinuous music, and then after one minute or two, it just completely dies. This will repeat after the unit is unplugged for an hour and then powered up again.

This is driving me crazy. Any input will be appreciated.
