You will need a phono stage and a headphone amp. If its strictly hp listening, you've got lots of choices, there are also some that will drive 90 dB+ speakers to quite loud levels in a small room. Give us a budget and ww'll try to help. Right now, probably some real good deals on used Senn HD-600 cans, since Senn has released the HD-650s.

I would like to like to have a headphone system in my den and am wondering what the best bang for the buck is????
I will be using a michell gyro for a source with a transfiguration spirit cartridge. Honestly I don't know the components needed to run a pair of phones. Any help would be appreciated.
