Have an old pair of Allison Acoustics CD-9s....

I really loved these things back in the day but they have been abused over the years. I've been having a hard time giving up on the idea of refurbing them, but i've never done a refurb or built speakers or anything like that. I did replace a tweeter on one years ago....then I had more kids....so they sit. Yesterday i listed them on ebay and i got some interest from someone who just wants to buy them. I listed them as needing refurb, etc.....i wouldn't even know where to begin as far as asking price I guess thats why i did ebay i figured id let the market function and just take whatever was offered. Anyone else feel like they are parting with a loved one when they unload stuff like this? I also left an old Carver integrated reciever out by the trash yesterday....it was long overdue but that was also tough!!! Any idea on what i might ask for the allisons that would be fair and resonable? They ar in working condition and actually dont sound too bad. Woofers are fine, mids are dented, one tweeter dome is crushed. Cabinets are great except the top where too many wet drinks sat for too long.....just looking for input ive been out of the equipment game for a long time....

I had a pair I bought from a now-closed store in the Boston area. After many years of use in varying roles, I sold them for $250.

They were OK, but not as good as the hype.
