Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

I would love to try one but the people involved won't answer my emails..have emailed on 2 occasions in the last week..
Greetings All,

I just had a nice phone call from someone on this thread that mentioned that some folks are having trouble contacting me.

My e-mail address as stated earlier in this thread is as follows

[email protected]

I’m not sure what the problems are - but I also have a telephone number - that number is 720.317.9141

I’m terribly sorry for any troubles - but I’m here and always willing to help.

Thank you,

Mark
bacardi, if your brother is in Sydney, he did well. It is a totally humane city. I would move there in a flash were I to not have a wife, kids, and grandkids in the USA.

Also if you think HFC's Ultra are expensive check out the Pros. Are they worth their price? I really cannot say, but I'm trying to keep them. Each night I sit there in awe. It is also partially their new MC 0.5 Magnetic Wave Guides as well as other things. I can just imagine what it would cost to have these in Australia.

@tbg, My brother did very well in Brisbane and unfortunately passed away three years ago. I would have gone there to see how things are on the other side of the world but his passing changed that idea. Anyhow, all of us have budgets and the price of the HF can't be grasped. Guys are re-mortgaging they're houses for some of these cords which is outrageous. There is a limit to things in life and everyone sets that themselves(or they're wives do-lol).

I presently just added another CPT 150 onto my dual mono amplifier and it is stunning. My soundstage is bigger, more isolation of the instruments-singer-band members, more focus. It has only had 15 hours and it is getting better. I did notice volume seems to be louder than it was with previous cord........stunning........
bacardi, the HFCs have thousands of magnets in them with each new series having many more. These are rare earth magnets and are expensive. Also assembly of these cords is labor intensive. I once asked Rick Schultz whether there was a point where there were demising returns in terms of magnets. He said no, but that manufacturing and cost were limiting factors. Probably he is there with the new Pro series and fortunately it is hard for me to believe  that more could be better.
I will never buy HF. I am all for CPT and keeping my house and all. At some time there will be a test done between the HF $4000 cord and CPT's $600 cord. And I have my bets which one most would dive for....................Core Power Technology..
Hi corepowertech, can you elaborate on the construction and science behind your product?
I gave Mark a call today to let him know that he needs to follow this thread. Both CPT & EP are so busy making & shipping product, there can be a short delay in a response, but Mark will respond. Check my earlier post for a brief take on how the E=Q cords work. CPT now has 1800 W and 1200W cords ready to go for those of you who wanted more current draw. You can use a WW Matrix AC outlet strip to allow for 6 AC cords to be plugged into one E=Q cord, your entire front end, and if you are using an efficient Class D amp ( EP 100.2SE, W4S, Red Dragon) perhaps the entire system.
Good Morning,

My apologies for not getting back to this thread and the question asked. April and May are always rough months with 3 shows to deal with (we show at only two of them - but next year we will be at Munich) as well as new product introductions at EP and CPT.

The science behind Balanced Power has been proven out over decades, mainly by EQUI=TECH. Fabulous products made very well by a great company. We apply the same techniques and proven formula at more specific power levels.

Our balancing transformer was designed by John Levreault and was proven out over a near-to 2 year investment in design and prototyping. We split the 120v (+ground) into 2 x 60 volt legs out of phase to one another and utilize a "drain" to remove the Common Mode Noise. Our product works extremely well and has proven itself to be a major winner for those that have tried it.

The E=C is protected by a Fast Acting Circuit Breaker for safety.

The inlet and outlet cords along with the Male and Female IEC connectors we use are incredible and stand alone in their quality.

There are some wonderful power cords out there - some really sensational products... but Balanced Power in and of itself is THE PLACE TO BEGIN when dealing with inherent noise we all face with The Mains here in the USA. Begin with Balanced Power (be it our products or others) and you will never regret it.

Thanks,

Mark

PS - Thanks to klh007 for giving me a call to alert me to this thread again... :)
Thanks Mark for the breakdown of this breathtaking technology that all should incorporate into they're system.....it truly is a game changing experience.....

A thirty amp circuit works better and can cost less. Sometimes. Any reputable amp company uses a good enough cord. If the cord helps, you need a better amp.
Hi,

No the 30 amp circuit, does NOT sound better and yes I have one in my house. I have done direst comparisons and it was not close. I always say the same thing on these forums; how can you comment on a product you have not tried. We have tested over 90 different power cords and 60 plus different conditioning systems and CPT is in my top 3 products with the other 2 products costing stupid money. Truth be told other 2 products were not better, just different. These are just my opinions but minimum I can say is at least I have done the actual comparisons.

Cheers,
I had an Equi-Tech 2Q and is the best active power conditioner I've owned.   It was replaced with 2 passive Weizhi PRS-6s and found SQ is more organic, fuller body and better tone with the Weizhi.

With that said, I'm considering a CPT 300 and see how it compares to Shunyata Sigma on the preamp and dac.

Is there a 30 day money back guarantee?   :-):-)
worldwidesales,

Aren't you doing the same thing you accuse danvignau of doing?  You have not heard his 30 amp circuit.  His just may be the best 30 amp circuit in the U.S. due to an almost infinite set of variables.  Maybe for example, he lives across the street from the power plant and has pristine, virgin power.  We should all strive to be open minded, don't you think?  Your cord in not an absolute in all situations, but I am open to it being a good product.
We should all keep an opened mind to ask ourselves " is there a limit to clean, natural live sound?". I guess even with all your dedicated lines near or far from a power plant, clean can be cleaner and cleaner can get cleaner. Allowing the system more information which these cords are executing extremely well. Everything after that just falls in place as good as the components and recordings contribute.

A long time back, on the advice of Al, I checked my power outlet levels throughout the day for several days and it never wavered more than a couple of volts. Knowing I have pretty good and consistent power I go directly into the wall and have tried a few power cords and it was so easy to tell that the stock PC that comes with the amp is what's holding things back. That, and there's are a world of differences between PCs.

Like bacardi says, clean can be cleaner and when done well, everything falls into place.

All the best,
Nonoise
Hi,

Truthfully, I am saying that after 40 years of experience in audio, lowering the noise floor is super important. There is no best 30 amp circuit. There is no best anything in audio but rather a stunning match of equipment.

CPT lowers your noise floor without any negative effects in my opinion. My system has been looked at by the Local Town of Whitby that I live in. Measured and re-calibrated. Is it the best, there is no best but they spent several days in my city making sure it was up and above code. Contact me and I will send you some pics.

Cheers but again everyone is allowed their own opinion.
Good Evening,

Yes of course, we offer a 30 day guarantee. This is the right way to do business and we can offer this.

As to the 30 amp dedicated circuit - this is a marvelous idea and I've had this myself in my last house.

That said, the effects of Balanced Power on the equipment is in-and-of-itself a great way to go. The system noise level should be improved and the ability to deliver a (more) dynamic presentation will be enhanced. Lower noise = Better sound. This is a safe and effective means to improve your system at what we think is a reasonable cost (IMHO). Your transformers in the gear that the E=C is driving will thank you... :)

Thanks,

Mark
corepowertech / worldwidesales,

With a CPT 300, do you suggest plugging in the Weizhi PRS-6 or 20 amp line open duplex?    This Weizhi feeds the sources.
Hi,

I have a passive conditioner that I plug my CPT 300 into and than I have been slowly replacing all other power cables to each piece of equipment with CPT cords. This has resulted in my system playing at a complete new level. I have also tried CPT cords directly to the duplex and it worked exactly the same. I would say if you do not need the conditioner after trying a CPT cord than get the conditioner out of the chain but if you feel the conditioner is a noticeable improvement, than keep it. I will probably be selling my passive conditioner.

The CPT cords do need a couple of hundred hours before critical listening and 50 hours minimum for them to open up but truth be told, the noise floor drops so dramatically that you can hear it right from the first minute you install the cord.

Cheers,
Good Morning,

As I'm new to this forum can anyone tell me if there are means to post photos? I have some before and after shots of our CPT EQUI=CORE that illuminate what I am talking about.

I know a lot of folks use the E=C after their conditioner (or regenerator) and find the results to be superb. That said, I would guess that 60 to 70% of our customer base plugs their E=C units directly into the wall socket.

Further - I would imagine that roughly 20 to 25% of our user base is using something like a Wire World Matrix in order to send Balanced AC Power to multiple units. I would caution to however to not exceed the maximum power spec for given E=C units. I spoke with a gentleman yesterday that was powering near to 600 watts worth of equipment on ONE E=C 300. It's working, but I cautioned him against it.

In June the prices will go up slightly as our metal work and powder coating costs are going up. We have made a slight change to the metal work as well (this is about how the panels attached to the extruded corner rails)...

Thank You,

Mark

PS - JM, if you are reading this thread I want to thank YOU for your lovely call yesterday. I can't tell you how happy I was to hear your description of your system with E=C installed. Made my day... thank you.
The problem with plugging into wall outlet is not enough wall outlets.   I have 2 20 amp lines with a Furutech GTX-D R duplex on each.  One line for amp and other for sources.

I'm surprise no complaints of degradation using a Wire World Matrix.

So, if you use a CPT 300 Watt with a 4 outlet adapter, why would you also need individual CPT power cords going to each piece of equipment?

Wouldn't it have already done its thing by splitting the power into a balanced output?

Bacardi, Since you won't swap me with me to try the Cerious Graphene cables and the CPT power cords, I'm going to get one of these power cords to try with/against my Cerious Technologies Graphene power cables.

Thanks for the offer but I really want you to try one because I think you'll keep it.....that's how good they are......

@ozzy, I think using a cord on each component instead of splitting the feed will isolate it better. We are all killing to birds with one stone with these cords. It's conditioning and a power cord in the same package.
Well... I have had a few guys tell me that they believed going in that the Matrix was not the best idea - but came out of the experiment believing that the overall result was really fantastic.

Of course we are glad when guys and gals buy more than one -

In my own system it knocked out some very low level hum I had, and I know of several people that have told me the same.

Not enough wall outlets is an issue (at good strategic spots in my listening room).

@ozzy, please do let me know what you think.

Many thanks,

Mark
Mark..thanks for the super fast response to my email yesterday.I can't wait to try your 'red' GE pc..It will be interesting going against my HF CT-1 pc..
@ozzy - Thank You. I feel very certain you will enjoy this product a great deal. Let me know if I can do anything to help...

@calloway Thanks as well - I'm excited to hear what you think.

I appreciate this a great deal - and I can't wait to hear your feedback.

Best wishes,

Mark

steakster,

My plan as it stands now is to plug the CPT 300 power cord into my PS Audio P-10 and then into a homemade 8 outlet center using Oyaide, SR, and Maestro outlets with a Furutech IEC.

From there the individual components (mostly digital) will be plugged into the outlet center with the Cerious Technologies Graphene power cables.

@ozzy, glad you ordered one. I think you will be impressed. Please post your thoughts and conclusions.......
Upon my second CPT 150 Installed in my system I had tried it on my amplifier and posted my conclusions above. A few days ago I switched this cord from amplifier to my source(Audiozen tube dac). Crrrazzzyyyy....

I've noticed:
- soundstage became larger all around.
- greater image focus between instruments and vocals.
- greater finesse and texture to well extended highs.
- sense of space is isolated to the inch.

I've been playing all songs over and over and just hearing musicians placed within feet of staging. All I can say is "wow.

My jaw seems to extend more and more with each cord installed.

It looks like I should have my CPT power cord early next week to use with my source equipment and the Cerious Graphene power cords.

bacardi, I would like to try another CPT later on with my Pass Labs amp (which has its own dedicated 30 Amp line). But, I don't think the CPT 300 watt version is going to cut it.

Ozzy, I'm looking forward to your thoughts regarding the CPT power cord you are waiting for.

Bacardi, Klh007 or anyone that knows;
Are those higher wattage power cords listed on the website or am I missing something?

I might have to give Mark a call since I've not received an answer to my email of a week ago.
Lak, Here is the link at Walter's site; http://www.underwoodhifi.com/products/equicore
It shows the prices for 1200 &1800 watt E=Qs.  For noise reduction, especially hum, these E=Q cords are very effective where other conditioners have not been. In my system, the background is quieter (blacker), soundstage is wider & deeper, and dynamics are not diminished, and my E=Q 300 is not leaving my system.
Good Evening...

@lak

I'm so sorry you have not received an e-mail back. I just re-checked my e-mail and I found nothing not answered. My e-mail is [email protected]

It does look however that my "contact me" on my Home Page is NOT working - and you guys have my apologies for this if you are trying that way.

Calling is always welcome - 720.317.9141

@klh007

Kemp - thanks for your post and note.

Lastly - It's been a very busy weekend here with orders and a new review posted on an Emerald Physics product. Thanks for your patience with me.

Best,

Mark
Klh007 & Corepowertech,

Thank you for the replies and the information.
FYI: I did use the "contact me" on your website which was not working.
Best regards...

FYI:
Yes, Mark is a nice guy.
I just got off the phone with him.
If anyone wants to contact him either call him directly or send an email directly to him.

Well , I just received the CPT 300 and plugged it in.

It is much larger than I thought. I don’t know how Bacardi has many of these.

First listen audio so-so. video (cable Box) so-so.
But... 20 minutes later the video (cable box) is looking much better and the audio is improving. I don’t know why I am surprised because I know power cords need to break in. But, with the video you can almost see the picture improving as you watch it.
I think with the audio I need to give it more time. However, what I’m now hearing is mighty impressive, no downside.
I have everything running from my PS-10. I had to use 3- DIY 8 way outlets daisy chained from my PS-P-10. All of my Audio components are using the Cerious Technologies Graphene power cables.

I was able to see on my PS P-10 that all of my items were well under 300 watts. But when I added my 85" Samsung UHD it jumps to 450+ watts.
So, the Samsung, JL Audio Subwoofers and my Pass Labs amp are the only components not plugged into the CPT 300.

I do want to try one on my amp eventually

@lak

Thank you very much for your call today - I really enjoyed it. Your questions were great and it's obvious to me the level of commitment you have to your system and this hobby. Appreciate your comments above and our chat...

@ozzy

Super excited today to log on to get your early impressions. Thank You. We should have some larger units here real soon - just waiting metal work now. Warning everyone in advance - these larger units are beasts for sure.

Many thanks,

Mark

PS - web master fellow has been contacted about this broken link - apologies again...
Mark just warned us about how big the 1200 & 1800 are, he forgot to mention their weights, 75 & 85 lbs respectively. Now those are beefy powercords!
@klh007 , I've heard they are the size of a fax machine..but for power hungry amps....in the past I've owned amps 120lbs so that weight isn't too bad. My Svs sub was 155. FWIW in quality, It's well worth it.....

Bacardi,

My amp weighs 160lb and my speakers weigh 215lbs each! So, the CPT weight doesn't surprise me.

Lets see, if I keep lifting them I may not have to go to the gym anymore.

Ozzy,
Could you please compare the CPT power cord to the Cerious Graphene power cords on your source component, power amp and AC conditioner, and share your impressions here since you could not get "Bacardi" to try out the Cerious power cord?

Thank you.

4orreal,

They use 2 different approaches. I really had to struggle to get all of my sources to be able to be run from the one CPT, and for now I don't plan on moving them again, sorry.

What I can say is the CPT is rated for 300 watt maximum so it can't be used to power my PS Audio P-10 or my Pass Labs amp. Also, the CPT provides balanced power and costs much more and because of this it is best shared with several pieces of equipment.
