Has anyone heard the Magico Q7 yet?

Hoping someone who went to the show will post listening impressions. The guys over at soundstageglobal.com were impressed.

If its Magico it must be great ask JV of the sound he loves everything Magico.
I heard them at CES just now, and they sounded great, and I'm usually NOT a fan.
I'm curious to know how many of these will make it into people's homes. Excluding dealers and reviewers, what's the market for a $165k speaker?
What's the market for a $165K watch?.........yet there are hundreds fighting for every one that Patek Philippe can produce.
Strange world indeed :^)
I have not heard them and I'm sure they are amazing speakers. I noticed at CES (pics) they had 60k worth of MIT speaker cables connected to them (as they always do), that matters in a big way. I Have heard MIT's upper tier cables and they will do some pretty damn amazing stuff, enough to put your jaw on the floor. Smart move by the Magico folks. The room will get big praise but few will note that the cables had a large influence.

I love the look of the Q series and would love to hear them someday.
I'm sure some will be sold. Perhaps not at full retail, but that is usually not known. The 94 dB efficiency is most welcome in these sealed/cone speakers (as a Mini II owner, I would appreciate more efficiency). But how do you move a speaker that weighs 750 lbs? I doubt JV at TAS will get those up to his third floor for review.

If it sounds anything like the incredible Q3 with more bass extension and impact, it would be a really great speaker IMO.

<< PP 5970, 5270 ?? Not really when considering these proven to appreciate in value instead of depreciate fast as in things audio.

Re Q7, at 700+ pounds a piece, non dismantle-able behemoth, can't imagine the effort needed to put a pair into one's listening space. Specs wise very promising though.
Good point Bvidiman.
I guess a watch tells the time and can be worn.......unlike stamps or coins?
I just heard it at the CES and thought the TAD room sound more natural to me. The Q7 tonal balance is great from top to bottom. I also would include the Hanson/Tenor, Wilson/Lamm, Wisdom, perfect8 technology, C.A.T/MBL. The Very Best of the show honor goes to the MBL room with their 101 xtreme, hands down! It's the most lively & natural sound that I ever heard, period! Not only it sound phenomenal but strykinly look good!
How many will be sold? Quite a few I would imagine. All I know is over here, my local dealer placed order for 2 pairs, one is already sold and the other has a tentative buyer. One is a Q5 owner the other was going to buy Q5 but when heard about Q7, decided to go for it instead.

I, for one, was hoping ebm disappeared with the website update. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!
@Eric,

"The most lively & natural sound"...at what db? Is that with or without ear plugs to protect your hearing? Anyone that has been to their demo, knows what I'm hinting at.
I heard alot of complain about mbl blasting people away with their speakers, but this year 2012, they play pretty normal level. I thought they were the best of the show and best looking speakers. I was impress with the liveliness & most natural sound from the 101 x-treme.
I haven't heard the Q7, but I did attend demos of the Q5 and Q3 with Alon Wolf present, and the volume seemed just below "live" levels. With such low levels of distortion, the audition was quite comfortable and non fatiguing. I sit in the 12th row at the Boston Symphony Orchestra and when Wolf played classical music, it sounded about right, that is, quite natural.

Sorry, I just realized you were talking about MBL. Well anyway, Magico does not blast the volume.
