Halcyonics under my tt. Wow

I just put my third, too expensive but wonderful, Halcyonic active isolation base under my Shindo Labs tt and am just overwhelmed by what I am hearing. I doubt if I will sleep tonight having 50 LPs that I "must" hear.

The ambient detail and realism is just shocking.

It is one of the great tragedies of audio that this device cannot be made somewhere for under $2000; I think they would sell hundreds. I know I would have one for every componnent. Mine was used.

Tbg - what is the purpose of placing Halcyonics platform on top of a Mana rack ? Does it sound better that way ?
Contacted Halcyonics today and got this interesting info:

"Thank you for your inquiry about the Halcyonics Micro 40 series. (...) Laufer Teknik is the worldwide distributor of the Halcyonics line of products to the high-end audio/video industries. Halcyonics now has a version of its active isolation platform designed for the high-end audio industry called the "Silencer" which is based upon the same exact platform as the Micro series but in a size and with characteristcs well suited to audiophiles. You might see some introductions to it on Halcyonics web site:

as well as my own:

Looks way cooler than the standard Micro 40.
I should have the Silencer in the next couple of days/weeks. I will post my impressions vs my Finite Elemente Pagode Master Reference racks/stands in this thread.
Tbg - no, I'm sourcing it from Germany (I live in Europe) with the help of Sam Laufer. I will try it under my ARC CD-7 and ARC Ref 3 preamp. My ARC Ref 110 power amp is prolly too big and will not fit.
The current retail price of the Silencer is $11,500 USD. The Micro 40 is $9,500 USD.

I should have the Silencer this week.
I don't really get it either. I was hopiong it will be cheaper than Micro 40. And no, I'm not able to compare the two.
I just found a cool movie showing the effect of active isolation on an atomic force microscope: click here

Very impressive.
No. I end an email to Herzan asking about the retail for TS-140, but never got any reply.

BTW - does Micro 40 has auto leveling feature ? The Silencer has to be readjusted every time you put a different component on it (for different weight).
I tried The Silencer under my ARC CD-7 CDP, ARC Ref-3 pre and ARC Ref 110 amp. When I put my pre and power amp on the Silencer, the changes were minimal. A bit like changing the tube dampers. There were there, and were positive, but they not warranted extra $11.500 IMO.

CDP was a different story. Here the changes were very substantial, in terms or removing grain, improving stage depth, resolution, HF-air and decays. It is like the noise leven in the system had dropped -20dB. Here it actually represents a reasonable value. Not good, but reasonable. I think that If I had a spare $11500 burning my pocket (which I do not have right now - the unit was on dealer loan) I would keep it. Oh well - maybe one day !

Thank you Tbg for bringing my attention to this innovative product.

PS. I borrowed The Silencer to a friend who owns VPI Aries 3 turn table. I will report back on his findings as well.
I already have the AHP (HiFi Tuning) Klangmodul 3+ circuit breakers. Never tried the fuses though. I will have to check them out.
