I think the Hadcock's, because they are semi-unipivots, are better suitable for non-suspended decks. So from that standpoint the Aries is perfect. I think its more a question of what type of cartridge do you own. The Hadcock needs a high compliance cartridge to do its magic. Most MC's are low or medium compliance. Then there's another question: Do you really think the Hadcock is a better arm than the JMW? I assume that's what's on your Aries now? Enjoy, Bob |

The effective tonearm masses of the 242 and 228 are 11.4 grams and 9.1 grams respectively. These tonearms work extremely well with virtually any cartridge.
