Hmmm, I would attack either your C2 processor or your Theta amplifier.

If you like your C2 processor, maybe Krell Foundation?  Or Classe SSP-800?  Both are clean sounding processors.

If amp, maybe get a couple Parasound JC1 monoblocks for left and right.  Then a Parasound A31 for center/surrounds?

It's a hard call, because I totally understand that your speakers might be a weak link here in your system.

If you have a PSW 10 sub I would upgrade your sub, looks like the weak link in system.
I would probably start with upgrading your sub as the above poster recommended - that's definitely a weak spot in your system. As far as processing and amplification are concerned, there are lots of great options out there. PM me if you would like to discuss specific brands and models - I run an A/V integration company in Atlanta and would be glad to work with you in finding a good setup within your target budget.

My entire audio involvement change when I got off the Paradigm merry-go-round, Studio 100s V1s, V2s, and S8s. I went through a myriad of electronics and it was the speakers that were simply cohesive. You can clearly hear the tweeters, midrange, and woofers, when it should sound like one source.

From the moment I installed time and phase correct speakers even my family noticed a night and day difference immediately.

I realized I was listening to my system for maybe 30 minutes before wondering what might make it better. Since the speaker upgrade I haven't given a thought to spend a dime.

In the measurements section pay close attention to figure 1. and figure 8.

Have fun with it.

This sentence should read, (speakers that were simply not cohesive)
If you don’t have room treatment, I would leave everything and solve that.  It’s to the point now where they aren’t obtrusive and can be made to look like pieces of art or any picture you want.  Then add a DEQX.
