Gerry Marsden has passed

Gerry Marsden leader of the British Invasion group Gerry and the Pacemakers has died.
Always a professional and writer of great songs like Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying, Ferry Cross the Mersey, How do You do it and many more has passed. I can remember wanting a Gretsch guitar after seeing Gerry and George Harrison with them.
R.I.P. You'll Never Walk Alone.

I loved how high Gerry wore his guitar, above his waist, way up on his chest. The Pacemakers made a sound like no other British Invasion band: acoustic piano and a drummer with Jazz influences. For whatever reason, they didn’t make the transition from the 60’s to the 70’s, and disappeared.
