Focal 1008be2 or the Diablo, close in performance?

I've just read that Focal recently updated the Electra 1008 be with the new 1.25" beryllium tweeter and now it's called the 1008 be 2. I've ordered a pair of Diablos, which I've heard however, the new 1008 be 2 were not available to audition. So, does any one know if I could have saved a ton and got near Diablo performance with the newer 1008 be 2 ? Does the 1008 be 2 with its new tweeter now sound close to the Diablo?
